Welder/Mechanic 

Job Details: 

• Great Oil and Gas company located in the Katy/Brookshire area seeking a Welder/ Mechanic with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience for their growing company. 
• This is a temp to hire opportunity, with great benefits offered once you are a permanent employee! 
• Looking for associates with a positive attitude, who are reliable and can show up for work on time, as well as can be cross-trained and grow with the company. 
• Possible over time, and pay increases available! 

Welding Requirements: 

• Fabrication and modification of new and existing equipment 
• Weld part made out of aluminum, stainless steel, or cold rolled and hot rolled steels 
• Be familiar with fitting 
• Read and interpret Engineer and Shop drawings proficiently 
• Willing to work in other areas (mechanic, basic electrical) 
• Perform safety inspections on welding equipment and maintain a clean and safe working environment 
• Meet company, governmental, and equipment safety and equipment specific safety requirements 
• Hydraulic skills 
• Basic electric skills 

Mechanic Requirements: 

• Troubleshoot mechanical/ electrical/ hydraulic/ pneumatic system using schematics and technical drawings 
• Repair equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors, and other equipment at facility as required
• Modify, lubricate, diagnose, operate, and fabricate 
• Setup and operate welders, drill press, grinder, hand tools and other metal working equipment 
• Able read and interpret Engineer and shop drawings proficiently 
• Use of basic shop math to assist in all aspects of the job 
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly 
• Ability to use calipers, tape measure, micrometers, and other quality control equipment. 
• Perform safety inspections on equipment and maintain a clean and safe working environment 
• Meet all company, governmental, and equipment and maintain a clean safe working environment. 
• Prepares maintains records and reports 
• Willing to work in other areas (welding, basic electrical)
