Mechanic Requirements: 

• Troubleshoot mechanical/ electrical/ hydraulic/ pneumatic system using schematics and technical drawings 
• Repair equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors, and other equipment at facility as required
• Modify, lubricate, diagnose, operate, and fabricate 
• Setup and operate welders, drill press, grinder, hand tools and other metal working equipment 
• Able read and interpret Engineer and shop drawings proficiently 
• Use of basic shop math to assist in all aspects of the job 
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly 
• Ability to use calipers, tape measure, micrometers, and other quality control equipment. 
• Perform safety inspections on equipment and maintain a clean and safe working environment 
• Meet all company, governmental, and equipment and maintain a clean safe working environment. 
• Prepares maintains records and reports 
• Willing to work in other areas (welding, basic electrical)

Position Specifics:

• Evaluation to Hire 720 Contract Hours
• $25-26/hr DOE 
• Work Schedule is 7pm -7:30am / 12 HR shift 

Position Responsibilities: 

• This position is responsible for the start-up, shut down, and troubleshooting of the molding process during normal production runs
• In addition, the Technician must set up injection molding machines and all related equipment to allow the manufacture of a product
• Develop and improve accuracy of the injection molding machines and processes
• Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
• Assist with new mold samples, and assist in the creation of full documentation on all processing parameters 
• Meets with the Shift Supervisor and other Process Technicians to discuss any and all issues relating to the shop floor
• Train and set up technicians and Material Handlers as assigned to insure that the set-ups being performed are done properly, in a safe manner, as well as a timely manner
• Follow all departmental operational procedures relating to the set-up, operation, and shut down of jobs
• Perform special duties and or projects as assigned
• Operate the machine as needed
• Document any and all process changes per internal procedures
• Analyze, recommend and implement layout and workflow improvements
• Estimate and calculate standard times
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Experience Necessary:

• 5 years of process technician experience
• Familiarity with all aspects of injection molding machines, decoupled molding techniques knowledge of engineering grade resins
• High School diploma or equivalent
